for the requests, could you draw hapi?
What's wild is that you'll have an abusive parent. And you'll maintain a relationship with them despite your better instincts because that's your parent and you want them to be a parent. And one day you'll bring up all the things that they did to you because they need to be addressed. The baggage needs to be unpacked. And they'll say what do you want me to do with this box of rotting flesh? And you'll say I want you to acknowledge the box of rotting flesh. I want you to apologize for cutting it off of me and stuffing it into that box and then forcing the box onto me. I want you to recognize that I have been carrying this box for years. And I want you to help me carry it. And they'll say well where's my apology for you putting your unsuspecting body into my hands and then expecting me not to stick a knife in you? And you just have to move on because the only alternative is rotting in the box yourself.
This post is by no means comprehensive, but bear in mind rule one of the Internet: You CANNOT tell the difference between a well-meaning yet uninformed leftist, and a neo-Nazi sockpuppet pretending to be a leftist to spread antisemitic rhetoric. Reading and absorbing the information in this post will help you avoid dipping into antisemitic modes of thinking.
I love how you saw the genocide of innocent civilians by a violent state and said “But what about me?”. This post is so painfully cringeworthy. I don’t give a fuck about your “good intentions”—people are being murdered and their history and homeland eradicated from the face of the earth right as I type this response to your asinine fucking post. It’s insane that the first thought that goes through your mind is “What can I say to make sure that my audience knows that I’m not one of THOSE Jews?” It’s lip service and it’s horrendous. What have you actually done to help the Palestinian people? Or are you too busy sanitising your hands and formulating uwu tumblr posts to actually do anything constructive? Stop making it all about you. For fuck’s sake, it’s not about you. Just shut up.
“what have you done to help the Palestinian people”
Succinctly distilled the reasons why people support the state of Israel and the anxieties which underlie it, which will help everyone have clear conversations with the aim of building support for Palestine among those sympathetic to Israel? And maybe other stuff, idk OP and I doubt you do either. This is uncalled for and not the right place to direct your rage and grief.

Chapter 12: Gelignite
He tilted his head towards her and saw Tifa blearily staring at the sky. “I’ve let a lot of people slip through my fingers,” she said quietly. “But not you. You never did. Even though I feared it. I feared it more than anything.”
Vincent’s eyes met hers, lured by the sadness in her words. The truth came forward, unbidden, laid bare for them both to see. “I would have done anything to get you back.”
Tifa’s chest went still. “Do—” She blinked rapidly. “Do you mean that?”
The evidence was strewn around his room, shredded into jagged strips of white linen and black polyester. Sensing his answer, Tifa rubbed her thumb over his wrist, beneath his glove, as if searching for the starched cloth. “You’ll stay with me, won’t you?” she asked. “Until the end?”
Vincent felt as if he were standing on the edge of a precipice, the chasm beneath holding the unknown. But for all of the nerves that tingled under his skin, the weight that constricted his chest, the nagging feeling that he was forgetting something important, something that formed the core of his being—he knew one thing: he would go to the ends of the Planet to protect Tifa Lockhart, because the sight of her in pain and distress was unacceptable to him.
“I will.”

Massive fuck you to everyone who is talking about Palestinians as if we’re already all dead and sharing more solidarity with our corpses than us living. “We will never forget the beautiful Palestinian people-“ how about you stop “making peace” with Palestinian extermination. My people are not going to be forgotten because we are going to live. Palestinians have already survived one genocide and have been surviving one ever since.
Do not ever let the idea that all Palestinians are going to die exist in your mind. Mourn the dead, fight like hell for the living.
